Back in June after lots of hard work and studying, we achieved Google Partner status – and what better way to celebrate this achievement than an invite to Google London for a Google Partners Badge Celebration event. It was a great opportunity to meet with other badged Google agencies and share insights into the world of online advertising. We were also treated to a sneak preview of some of the latest beta projects and some fun 3D virtual reality headsets.
Enough of all that frippery though. We get asked the same question all the time when we say we are Google Partners. “What does that mean?”
In short it means a few things. Firstly, we manage AdWord accounts for multiple clients and we have to manage a certain level of client spend to qualify. There are five specialisms in Google AdWords, those being Search Advertising, Display Advertising, Video Advertising (You Tube) Shopping Ads and last but not least Mobile Advertising. We also must have a minimum quality score on the account in order to keep the badge. This is based on the performance of the ads, click through rates and more. Finally we have the expert backing of account representatives who assist us with customer relations and AdWords account strategy. In short it means you have the assurance that your digital advertising is being handled by an expert team who will continually look to get the best performance from it.
